Walton's Antique and Estate Jewelry

Family owned and operated in Historic Downtown Franklin, TN since 1974

Our store began over forty years ago by Melba Walton, an entrepreneur who had a sincere passion for antique jewelry.  Today, Walton's Antique and Estate Jewelry has become a staple to the downtown Franklin community. Specializing in pre-1940's antique and estate pieces, Walton's maintains the foundation on which Melba created the store;  a place where all are welcome to share in the love and admiration for pieces of one of a kind jewelry.

STORE HOURS

We are open Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Come on in and discover, or rekindle, your passion for antique jewelry!

Stress Free

For most, the engagement ring buying process can seem quite daunting.  Style, size, price, pressure to buy and other factors can run ones' nerves ragged.  However, at Walton's we want each and every one of our customers to feel comfortable to ask questions and voice concerns in a pressure free environment.  If you and your loved one are happy, we are happy! We also take the time to explain the key factors that are taken into consideration when buying a diamond. Here's the basics of what to look for:

  • Color: The amount of color in a diamond on a scale of D to Z, D being the whitest, and Z having the most color.
  • Clairty: The absence or presence of inclusions and blemishes. The clarity grade  scale ranges from Flawless to I3.  The grades are based on the number, size, relief, and position of inclusions seen under 10X magnification.
  • Cut: How the diamond is cut based on its proportions, symmetry and polish.  These all effect a diamond's brilliance and sparkle.
  • Carat Weight: The size of the diamond.
Ultimately, what truly matters is if you like the diamond, regardless of the text book factors.  Beauty is, after all, in the eye of the beholder!

Walton's is a family business and we like for our customers to feel like part of the family.  We have a "Wall of Love" with pictures of couples that have gotten engaged with a Walton's ring! Our wall is constantly growing, and for that we are always grateful! So now that you're equipped with some of the basics when purchasing a diamond, the question becomes, will you be joining our Wall of Love? (After she says yes, of course!)
