Victorian 18k Yellow Gold Mourning Brooch. The 18K yellow gold doubled sided mourning brooch features exquisite hair designs on each side. This is a fabulous example of the type of mourning jewelry that displays a loved ones hair that was popular during Queen Victoria’s reign in the 1880’s, each side further detailed by gold wire within the hair designs. (Portions of the wire have come loose over time - sold as is.) It is also quite unique that the center portion can turn, allowing the wearer to choose which side they would like to display while being worn. The frame is beautifully detailed with an acorn and leaf motif. The brooch is approximately 2 1/8” long x 2” wide.

When you're not wearing your jewelry, store it in a clean, dry, room temperature, safe place. Avoid tossing it in a drawer where the gems could get scratched or damaged.
Have your jewelry professionally cleaned and checked as often as you'd like, but we recommend every 4-6 months.
