We could not be more thrilled for Lee and Hannah! Read on to hear their sweet love story and the many beautiful Franklin connections that make this one extra special!
“Lee and I met when I was bartending his father's 60th birthday party. My sister was hopeful that she had a hand in this set-up, but he had just graduated from Law School, and I knew he wasn't in a position to start a new relationship. Months later, he asked my sister for my number, and called me! I was super nervous (and late) on our first date, but had a wonderful time. Conversation was so easy, and we really enjoyed getting to know each other. We couldn't believe that we were both Franklin natives, that grew up in neighborhoods right next to each other, and still had never crossed paths.
Fast forward two years, and we knew things were getting more serious. Lee asked if I wanted to start looking at some rings, and I knew we had to go to Walton's! We went on two separate occasions, and of course, I loved several things! He surprised me 4 days after Christmas when he proposed on the old Court House steps in the square, with a stunning vintage engagement ring (that I hadn't even seen) from Walton's! It was so special because he had gathered both of our families to toast to our engagement right after at the Harpeth Hotel. He also made reservations for just the two of us at Cork and Cow. I couldn't believe he orchestrated it all! We also got both of our wedding bands from Walton's, and are so pleased. I am literally obsessed with them!
Lee asked me if I wanted to be surprised, or if I wanted to shop together for an engagement ring....and honestly, I had never thought about it! But he made a good point, that I would be the one wearing it, and I might like to explore the options. So- we shopped together! I LOVE all that Walton's has to offer! Not only is it special because it's shopping small, supporting local, and literally close to our home, everything there has a story. I'm a fan of vintage jewelry in general, and I love knowing that my ring has a history! Julie and I went to high school together, so I get excited any time I can support her family business. Everyone in the shop is so helpful and kind!”
