We've always believed that the right antique jewel has a way of finding the right person. Lately, it seems like that person is Noah Kahan.
The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter has been on an unstoppable run: critically acclaimed albums, sold-out tours, and now a presence on two of the most iconic stages in entertainment. Both times, he reached for something with a little history to it.
Over the past month, he wore two pieces from our collection on two very different stages.
The TIME100 Gala: An Art Deco Masterpiece Meets a Modern Icon
At this year's TIME100 Gala, Kahan wore our Art Deco 7.25 CTW Old Mine Cut Diamond Ivy Leaf Brooch pinned to the lapel of a black double-breasted tuxedo, positioned at the notch where a boutonnière would traditionally sit. Against the unbroken black of the jacket, the brooch was the only thing catching light, and it did so generously, the Old Mine cut diamonds reading warm and bright under the red carpet photography.
The piece dates to the 1920s–1930s and is built around a central Old Mine cut diamond surrounded by over 100 smaller stones, all set to follow the contours of an ivy leaf. Old Mine cuts were fashioned before standardized proportions existed; each one is slightly individual, shaped by hand to maximize brilliance under candlelight rather than electric light. The cumulative effect in a piece of this scale is considerable, and on the TIME100 red carpet, it showed.

The Tonight Show: Victorian Warmth, Perfectly Placed
A few days later, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the register was entirely different. Kahan wore jeans, a white t-shirt, and a dark pinstripe blazer worn open. Pinned low on the lapel was our Victorian 14K Yellow Gold Garnet Cabochon Stick Pin, alongside a small chain.

The stick pin is a quieter object: a garnet cabochon set in an engraved 14K yellow gold bezel with scrolling detail around the rim. Cabochon cutting, which produces a smooth domed surface rather than facets, was the preferred treatment for garnets throughout much of the Victorian period, valued for the depth of color it preserves. On camera, the stone read as a small point of warm, dark red against the fabric — easy to miss, which is partly the point.

At Walton's Jewelry, we pour a lot of care into finding and sourcing pieces that are truly special. Seeing two of them show up on stages like these, worn by someone with a real eye for what makes antique jewelry worth wearing, is something we'll be talking about for a long time.
These pieces passed through our hands, and now they're out in the world in the best possible way. We're so grateful.
