Georgian silver, 14K yellow gold, and diamond ring. A Georgian diamond cluster ring of genuine antiquity — an Old Mine cut diamond at the center, encircled by a generous halo in silver over yellow gold, the whole design typical of the period's preference for massed diamond effect over individual stone weight. The silver settings have developed the warm patina of age that Georgian jewelry collectors recognize and prize, and the Old Mine cut diamonds throughout have the beautiful hand-finished character that pre-Victorian cutting inevitably produces. A rare survivor from the early 19th century, worn and loved for two hundred years.
